1.S. S. Rajamouli 

S. S. Rajamouli was born on October 10, 1973 is an Indian film director and screenwriter, known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema. The two part Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) premiered at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and Baahubali 2: The conclusion (2017). Rajamouli’s 2012 experimental fantasy film, Eega was screened to critical acclaim at L’Etrange Film Festival . The Tamil version Naan Ee was screened at the 10th Chennai International Film Festival. Rajamouli has garnered several awards including two National Film Awards, three Film fare Awards, three state Nandi Awards, the IIFA Award and the star World India, “Entertainer of The Year” In 2012. In 2016, He was honored with the Padma Shri , India’s  fourth highest civilian honor for his contributions towards the field of Art.

2.S.Shankar

Shankar was born on 17 August 1963. He is an Indian film director and producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He made his directorial debut in Gentleman (1993) produced by K.T. Kunjumon, for which he was awarded the Film fare Best Director Award and the Tamil Nadu state Film Award for Best Director. He has won the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2010, in the Entertainment category. His films are often dubbed into other Indian languages like Hindi and Telugu, Shankar initially worked as an assistant director to S. A. Chandrasekar. He often makes movies that have social themes with a commercial narration.

3.Gautham Vasudev Menon

Gautham Vasudev Menon was born on 25 February, 1973. He is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. His first film was Minnale in Tamil with R, Madhavan, Abbas and Reema Sen playing the lead roles and his film Vaaranam Aayiram won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Menon returned in 2003 by directing the realistic police thriller Kaakha Kaakha 2003 featuring Suriya, Jyothika and Jeevan in the lead roles and in 2010 with his Tamil romantic film Vinnaithaandi varuvayaa. Rotary Club of Chennai honoured him for his Creative Excellence in 2010.

4.Rajkumar Hirani

Rajkumar Hirani was born on 20 November, 1962. He is an Indian film director, screenwriter, editor and producer. Hirani is known for directing Hindi films. His third film was the comedy 3 Idiots starring Aamir Khan, R.Madhavan, Sharma Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Omi vaidya parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani. His fourth film was alien satirical drama PK, which starred Aamir Khan, Saurabh Shukla and Anushka Sahrma in lead roles. PK film was highest grossing Indian film collecting over Rs.500 crore at the box office.

5.Mani Ratnam

Mani Ratnam was born on 2 June, 1956. He is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Kannathil Muthamittal film was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, winning six National Film Awards, Film fare Awards for Best Direction In Tamil Raavanan in Tamil where in the film look was Unveiled at 2010 Cannes Film Festival The commercial and critical success of Roja established him as a leading filmmaker in Indian cinema. He has won several film awards, seven Film fare Awards South and three Bollywood Film fare Awards.
